I’m so excited about this conversation with Isabel (Izzy) van Zuilen from Sobertopia. Izzy is the founder of a global alcohol-free community helping women feel connected, empowered, and anything but alone on their alcohol-free journey.
Izzy shares her story from growing up in Amsterdam with a heavy drinking culture to years of binge drinking, navigating motherhood and “wine mom” culture, and ultimately finding her way to an alcohol-free life that feels better than she ever imagined.
Izzy now hosts regular alcohol-free meetups and events in San Francisco, bringing women together for walks, connection, and real-life community. It’s such a powerful reminder that you are not alone in this, and your people are out there. It really shows that you you don’t need to hit rock bottom to change your relationship with alcohol. You can choose something better just because you want to feel better.
